My husband and I visited with our 12 yr old daughter and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food. My husband tried Cullen Skink for the first time and loved it. I'd highly recommend the haddock fishcakes, the cheese sauce was delicious as was the mini egg cheesecake which my daughter and I shared as we were so full after our main courses. The staff were so warm and friendly, the young boy who was our main server was just lovely. We will definitely visit again if we are in the area.

We truly fell in love with this place!! My friends and I were driving along the coastline of Scotland and decided to stop for dinner in Fraserburg. Saw great reviews for the Captain’s Table and decided to try it. Boy are we so glad we did!! You feel completely welcome like you’re family walking in the door...the reason for that is because it is a family that owns it and works there together. They truly make you feel like you’re family too! They were all very kind, welcoming, and before we knew it, we were all talking for awhile and the place was filled with so much laughter! The food was also INCREDIBLE! We had the lobster gnocchi and it was so fresh and delicious. To top it off, we each ordered our own cookie dough dessert and it melts in your mouth! All of us felt like it was heaven on earth. We all really can’t wait to visit Scotland again and get to eat at this hidden gem of a restaurant again!

Choosing this restaurant for lunch was an excellent choice. Right from the beginning, we were warmly welcomed by very kind staff who immediately offered the children some entertainment in the form of plastic toys and crayons. We had local fish for lunch, and it was delicious. A big plus was the wide selection of local beers. The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant, and the staff were helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend this place!

Stayed in the upper deck and few times now... always spotlessly clean... fresh lien and towels everything there thay u cluld possibly want to use and if there is something you need am sure julie will do her up most to acheive for you l, whilst staying at the upler deck if you eat in yhe restaurant you will get a discount off your food... its a great price for family to stay and the beach is only a small walk away and you may see whales has they have had a pod around there shores recently..if your up that way book the upper deck and restaurant in advance! You won't be disappointed.

The food was absolutely amazing, carefully crafted, and incredibly tasty! We ordered the stuffed mushrooms and the soup of the day, which was carrot soup – I could have had liters of it, it was so good! However, what truly elevated our experience was the sympathy and charisma of the entire staff. Their warmth and attentiveness made the place truly special.

Amazing service and great food. Spotless restaurant with genuine friendly staff. We had a great time for a family celebrations. My fish was cooked perfectly, the chips were amazing and the sticky toffee pudding was honestly the best I've ever had. Light sponge with deliciously sweet sauce and local ice cream.

What a lovely restaurant that clearly supports local businesses and fishermen. We visited on a weekday lunchtime and there were lots of occupied tables, a good sign. Dog friendly and they even removed a chair to give him more room and offered water for him, which is lovely. Nice clean and bright atmosphere and the waitress was super friendly and helpful. The scallops starter was divine and the homemade bread to mop up the garlic butter was a great touch. The smoked haddock and cheddar fish cakes were another highlight and I liked the way you could choose your sides and sauce. Only one fresh catch of the day, but that is understandable given the nature of the beast - the sole was lovely. Thank you for being a highlight of Redventures trip north...

Great staff, fabulous food (I could happily eat their beef stroganoff every day for a month and have no regrets!), definitely will be back a third when I am next in Fraserburgh. Glad we booked ahead of time, as it was pretty busy
